Freightbound
This hub connects copies of the Freightbound desktop app so you can run railways against friends, or strangers, anywhere. One player hosts and their game runs the world. Everyone else joins with a 4-letter code.

How to play online
- Open the Freightbound app on your Mac and go to the Multiplayer tab on the start screen.
- To host: pick a difficulty and map size, then press Host a new game. Your game appears in the list above with its code. Keep the app open: your computer runs the game.
- To join: pick a game from the list in the app, or type its code under Join with a code.
- If the host quits, another player takes over and the game carries on.
Each player only controls their own company. Messages pass through this hub, so players never see each other's IP addresses.
Download the app
Mac: unzip it and run the "Open … (first time)" file once. It signs the app on your Mac so macOS will open it.
Windows: unzip it, open the folder and run the .exe. If Windows says it protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway.
Ubuntu / Debian: open the .deb with App Center (or sudo apt install ./ followed by the file name), then find it in your apps.
